We believe actions speak louder than words.

As a result, rather than attempt to express in writing our heartfelt gratitude for your contribution to The Marisa Tufaro Foundation – whether that be through a generous donation, volunteerism or following our nonprofit’s progress on social media – know that we are committed to thanking you tenfold for your benevolence through the organization’s mission and charitable endeavors.

The foundation, which assists children in need throughout the greater Middlesex County area, is a fitting way to honor Marisa and keep alive her spirit. It allows us, as parents, to give back to the residents of a community that has forever provided our family with overwhelming love and support.

Our mission statement is broad-based by design. The foundation extends assistance to children and their families beyond those in medical crisis, although pediatric patients and their families will forever remain a primary focus.

The foundation also makes community service an integral part of its mission.

Through the generosity of those who have made private donations or participated in fundraising events over the past several months, our public charity, which is now exempt of federal income tax under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3), has a sound financial base from which to continue turning its vision into reality.

As the foundation grows in the ensuing year, so will its outreach. We ask that you please consider following the foundation’s progress on our WEBSITE, FACEBOOK AND TWITTER.

More than a dozen formally organized fundraisers have been held county-wide since Marisa’s untimely passing. An equal number of public tributes have been paid to Marisa. We have received countless letters, text messages, emails, social media correspondences, cards, hugs, prayers and phone calls of support. Each is a source of comfort and each strengthens our resolve to help children in need.

We encourage you to read in detail about our first wave of initiatives – each of which in some way reflects Marisa’s inspirational life – by clicking on the links provided below.

We look forward to being able to share with you in the coming weeks and months the many ways Marisa’s foundation continues to help others. We have some more exciting news about upcoming missions to announce in the near future.

Once again, we can never find the perfect way to thank you for your kindness and generosity.

We can only believe our actions will speak louder than words.

Respectfully,

Cyndi and Greg Tufaro
