The MyCentralJersey.com Snapple Bowl, a charity all-star football game between the top graduated seniors from Middlesex and Union counties, which has raised nearly $600,000 since its inception in 1994 for the Edison-based Lakeview School, a program of the New Jersey Institute for Disabilities, and Children’s Specialized Hospital in Mountainside, will honor Marisa.

Players from both counties will wear specially designed helmet decals bearing Marisa’s initials in white lettering across a purple heart. Cheerleaders from both counties will wear purple ribbons in their hair that Middlesex County coach Colleen Meyers handcrafted.

In addition, Snapple Bowl game director and founder Marcus Borden, a dear friend of the Tufaro family, has organized a fundraiser for The Marisa Tufaro Foundation, which will be conducted during the final week of practice leading up to the big game.

The fundraiser will take place on Thursday July 13 at the Chick-fil-A on St. Georges Avenue (1040 US Highway 1 North) in Woodbridge between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.
